End Times in the Bible

You say you’ve heard all this before and you’re not interested in listening to another silly speculation about Jesus’ return and the “end of days”—ridiculous, right?

I understand; no one likes being preached to about what may or may not happen in the future, good or especially bad. Let’s just live in the present moment, even though you may suspect that things in the world really are spinning out of control.

Oh well, you say, that’s life, and there’s really not much you can do about it. If this is where you stand, then I would say maybe you’re missing something! If you will, let’s take a closer look at the world’s downward spiral into corruption, depravity, greed, and evil, and see how this directly relates to the end of days. Remember, you must remain vigilant; otherwise, the world’s downward spiral could “infect” you and your relationship with God!

End-times Prophetic Events

Now, we’ll turn our attention to see how God intends to fulfill end-time prophetic events. Knowing what’s true about these events, without speculation, can only come from the Scriptures. So, what does the Bible actually state will happen in the last days? “Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to Him to call His attention to its buildings.“Do you see all these things?” He asked. “Truly, I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; everyone will be thrown down. As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us, they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Matt 24:1-3 NIV

Jesus, of course, was speaking about future events relative to different time periods. This prophecy was given by Jesus, and guess what? It was perfectly fulfilled, just as He stated! The Jerusalem temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, and not one stone was left on another; they were all thrown down. (Some have thought the Wailing Wall was part of the temple, but it was simply part of the city’s wall.)

Jesus’ disciples came to Him privately on the Mount of Olives and asked Him about His coming (return) and the end of the age. Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom (global conflict). There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains (a reference to childbirth).”

“Then you (believers) will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me (Jesus). At that time, many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness (which we’re seeing today), the love of most will grow cold (have you experienced it?), but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matt 24:4-14 NIV.  I don’t like the sound of this, do you?

Which of Jesus’ prophecies do you see being fulfilled today?

If you’re paying close attention, you can see they are happening today with alarming frequency and intensity. Does this capture your attention? If it doesn’t, it should! Jesus gave these warnings two thousand years ago just as He prophesied His own death and resurrection, which were ultimately fulfilled. So, if Jesus is right, and I believe He is, then His coming is imminent—any moment!

Paul’s Description of the last days

The apostle Paul, writer of nearly half the New Testament, describes the mindset of people during these last days: “There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” 2 Tim 3:1-5 NIV.

End times people

  • lovers of themselves, pleasure
    and money
  • boastful, proud, conceited
  • abusive, brutal
  • disobedient to their parents
  • ungrateful
  • unholy
  • without love
  • unforgiving
  • slanderous
  • without self-control, rash
  • treacherous

Are you witnessing this today?

You may say this has been going on throughout history, and I would agree, but today there’s such alarming vehemence and intense persecution that hasn’t been seen since the evil days of Sodom and Gomorrah!

Now, where am I going with all of this? Jesus states that no one knows the day or the hour of His return (Matt 24:36 ESV). Therefore, you are not to set dates, but He does state that you should be able to interpret the “signs of the times” (Matt 16:3 ESV.) Why?

God doesn’t want anyone to perish (go to hell). “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise (Jesus’ return), as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NASB.

Looking back at Jesus’ prophecies during the last days and Paul’s description of the mindset of people during this time, one can only conclude that terrible times are here and getting worse. You’ve been given a warning shot across the “bow!” However, Jesus tells you not to be alarmed (Matt 24:6 NIV). Easier said than done, right? Will God protect His people from the coming wrath?

The Great Tribulation

the great tribulation

The Tribulation, followed by the Great Tribulation, is a time period of seven years, each lasting three and one-half years. The Old and New Testaments refer to it as the “Day of the Lord.” This prophetic event on God’s calendar is something that many don’t want to hear about, and others either disbelieve or have no idea of what’s coming. Jesus’ prophetic proclamation: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.” Matt 24:21 ESV.

Never in biblical history has there been anything so catastrophic as the “Day of the Lord,” nor shall there ever be! It’s a time of unparalleled judgment and wrath from God on an unbelieving, sinful world that refuses to obey the authority of Almighty God and is unwilling to turn away from sin.

Now, you may ask, is all this true? Well, if you trust the Bible’s author, God Himself, then yes, it’s true! “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2ndTim 3:16-17 ESV.

This brings to mind another question you may now be thinking, as I have. Why would a loving God send His One and only Son, Jesus, to die on a cross for all of mankind’s sins, then seemingly change direction and bring about this devastating wrath upon mankind?

Well, God, in fact, hasn’t changed direction: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8 NIV). God has always been the same loving, compassionate God who created men and women in His image so that “His People” could have a personal relationship with Him. However, God hates sin and must eradicate it from the earth!

The “Day of the Lord” will begin the radical cleansing of sin from the earth, of both Jew and Gentile. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” Rom 1:18 ESV.  However, even during this devastating time, those who will truly repent from their sins and cry out to Jesus will be saved!

Will God allow “His People,” believers in Christ, to go through this terrible judgment during the Day of the Lord, or does He have a rescue plan to take them away before it begins? I believe He does and it’s called “The Rapture.”

The Day of the Lord

The great and terrible “Day of the Lord” brings God’s judgment and wrath upon the earth to cleanse all sin. However, believers in Christ were already purified from sin at the cross; their judgment was laid upon Jesus Christ.

Believers are cleansed of all sin and have become whiter than snow the moment they asked Jesus to be Lord over their lives—in Christ’s eye, they are without sin. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV. “…the blood 🩸 of Jesus, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 ESV

Almighty God will not put believers through judgment, because their sins have already been paid for by Jesus Christ on the cross. When God brings judgment to the people on earth, what will He do with His purified people?

The Rapture

Well, God has a plan called—the Rapture—which solves the problem, when He comes back in the air and supernaturally snatches up all believers from the earth to meet Him in the sky. In that miraculous moment, God takes His People back to heaven: “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead (from the grave) in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive (believers on earth) who are left, will be caught up (harpazo—Greek word meaning caught up or raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore, encourage one another with these words.” 1st Thess 4:16-18 ESV

Does this sound impossible to believe? Well, others in the Bible have been caught up or raptured to heaven! Jesus, for One, was taken up through the clouds and into heaven from the Mount of Olives. (Acts 1:9) The Apostle Paul was caught up to the third Heaven (2nd Cor 12:2). “Enoch walked with God and he was not, God took him.” (Gen 5:23). “Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” (2nd Kings 2:11).

Remember, this great and terrible—Day of the Lord—will last seven years, for the judgment of sin on the earth. During that time believers in heaven will stand before the—Judgment Seat of Christ.

Waiting for the Blessed Hope

Thought I’d brighten things up a bit and open a window into the prophecy timeline to understand why all believers wait with great expectation for the appearing of the “Blessed Hope,” Jesus Christ. “…waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:13 NIV.  When that day comes, the Savior will appear in the clouds with blazing glory and believers will be caught up to meet Him in the air, then whisked away to heaven. Jesus is the blessing believers are praying and hoping for—The Blessed Hope—and are finally united with Him on that day! Jesus’ coming in the clouds is, in fact, the Rapture.

The Judgement Seat of Christ

The Judgment Seat of Christ for believers in heaven will take place during the time of the devastating events on earth— “The Day of the Lord.” The Judgment Seat of Christ, often referred to as the Bema Seat, takes place where the believers receive rewards for doing good while faithfully serving God on earth. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.” 2Cor 5:10 ESV.

Why is the Judgment Seat of Christ often referred to as the Bema Seat? Remember, the apostle Paul had dual Roman and Israeli citizenship, so he was well aware of the Bema seat. Bema is the Greek word for judgment; therefore, Paul referenced the Lord’s presentation of rewards to believers as the “Judgment Seat of Christ.” Paul used sports metaphors in many of his writings. The Ancient Games were held in Olympia, Greece, so Paul was familiar with the victors of those games going before the Judge to receive rewards. Believers in Christ will one day go before the Bema Seat to receive their rewards from our Judge, Jesus Christ. Do you want to receive rewards for your work for God done on earth?

The Prophecy Given to Daniel

Remember, Daniel and his three Jewish friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were in their youth when taken captive from Israel to Babylon, where they lived for 70 years. Daniel, favored by God, was a man of prayer and while repenting to God in sackcloth and ashes for Israel’s sins, the angel Gabriel appeared!!

“Gabriel, the man (a messenger angel) I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.” Dan 9:21. Gabriel then prophesied to Daniel about the literal history of Israel and what would take place in the last days:

“Seventy-sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone, for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.” Daniel 9:24. These are all final things. Let’s look at these in chronological order of Israel’s history during these last days:

  • Seventy-seven is weeks of years. Seventy times seven, or 490 years of Israel’s history, are determined for Israel’s people by God. From the rebuilding of Jerusalem in 444 BC, when Persia’s King Artaxerxes commissioned Nehemiah, a Jew born while in exile, to rebuild Jerusalem, until Messiah’s crucifixion in 33 AD, all totaling 483 years with 7 years left over.
  • Seventy sevens are decreed (490 years)
  • for your people (Israel)
  • and your holy city (Jerusalem)
  • to finish transgression (Israel’s apostasy toward God)
  • to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness (final judgment for Israel’s sin)
  • to bring in everlasting righteousness (God gives grace & salvation to all Israel—Jewish believers)
  • to seal up vision and prophecy (ending vision and prophecy)
  • and to anoint (make sacred) the Most Holy Place (Jerusalem’s future millennial temple where Messiah reigns)

This prophecy is spoken to Daniel by the archangel Gabriel about the final things that will unfold during the 490 years of Israel’s history. There will be a period of time, 483 years in Israel’s history, from the rebuilding of Jerusalem until the Messiah Jesus is cut off by His death on the cross. What happened to the seven remaining years?

Believe me, I know how difficult Daniel’s prophecy is to comprehend, but it’ll be worth the effort to stretch our minds to understand what takes place in these last days. We’ll also look at Pentecost, the Church Age, and what the apostle Paul’s mystery reveals! This is very exciting!

Pentecost and The Church Age

tounges of fire

The day of Pentecost came fifty days after Jesus’ death and resurrection when the promised Holy Spirit came on His disciples with “tongues as of fire!” Jesus promised: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8. The Holy Spirit’s power entered into the hearts of Jesus’ followers at Pentecost and continues to this day! Amazing!! When the promised Holy Spirit came (Acts 2:1-4), we entered into a divinely appointed time period called the “Church Age.” Jesus stated to Peter: “You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Matt 16:18.

The “Church Age” created a gap in time, where God temporarily set Israel aside, so that Gentiles could receive His grace and salvation. “For I (apostle Paul) would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceit; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” Rom 11:25.

The “Church Age” opened a doorway to Gentiles, giving them full access to salvation through faith in the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, by His death and resurrection. How long will the time gap and Israel’s spiritual blindness exist? Paul states it will end when the full number of Gentiles “come in.” When the last believer is saved, then all believers throughout the ages will be Raptured, meeting Jesus in the air (1 Thess 4:16-17). That ends the “Church Age” and Israel’s blindness.

As for the missing seven weeks/years, they will start immediately after the Rapture and the ending of Israel’s spiritual blindness. However, because of Israel’s continued disobedience to God, “Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble” will begin! “How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob (Israel), but Israel will be saved out of it!” Jer 30:7.

We discussed how the Holy Spirit entered the hearts of Jesus’ disciples at Pentecost. We then entered into a divinely appointed time period called the “Church Age,” where a doorway was opened to Gentiles so they could be saved through faith in the Jewish Messiah Jesus. However, Israel, the Jewish leadership, had rejected Jesus as Messiah and they were temporarily set aside! Friends, God loves His chosen people, Israel, yet He spiritually blinded them to the Messiah?! (Rom 11:7-8) Who is this mysterious God we serve? “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord?” Rom 11:33-34.

Daniel’s Prophecy

Friends, let’s go deeper into Daniel’s prophecy, the Tribulation, and Jacob’s trouble. We’ll begin with a brief portion of biblical history and end-time events.

  • Jesus rides a donkey into Jerusalem, and the Jewish people shout, “Blessed is the King / Messiah who comes in the name of the Lord!” Luke 19:28-40, Zech 9:9
  • Jesus was rejected as King / Messiah by the Jewish leadership, put to death on a cross, and then He rises physically from death. Luke 23:33, Jn 2:19-22
  • Fifty days later was Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit’s power came on Jesus’ disciples with “tongues as of fire.” Acts 2:1-4 The Spirit’s power still continues to enter the hearts and minds of Jesus’ followers today.
  • The Church Age / Age of Grace begins Eph 3:2-6, a time period where Israel is temporarily set aside and Gentiles are saved by faith in the Jewish Messiah Jesus. Rom 11:25-26
  • The Church is removed from the earth when the Rapture occurs (date unknown), where believers throughout the ages are caught up to meet the Blessed Hope, Jesus, in the air. Titus 2:13-14, 1 Thess 4:16-18
  • The next scheduled events are the Tribulation and Jacob’s Trouble. Daniel 9:24 Tribulation’s total time 7 years; first half, 3 ½ years Matt 24:21; the second half is called the Great Tribulation / Jacob’s Trouble, 3 ½ years. Jer 30:7
The Holy Spirit descends on the day of Pentecost.
Archangel Michael
Archangel Michael

Time of Trouble

Remember, the “Church Age” is over and all believers are in heaven during the Tribulation, while God’s wrath is being poured out on Israel and unbelievers in a sin-filled world. Daniel is told this prophecy by the archangel Gabriel: “At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince (archangel) who has charge of your people (Israel). And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.” Daniel 12:1.

The “Man of Lawlessness” arrives on scene during these chaotic times of lawlessness, war, and worldwide devastation. Who is this man?

We have discussed the Church age, where a doorway was opened to Gentiles (non-Jews) so they could experience salvation through faith in the Jewish Messiah Jesus. We also discussed how Israel was temporarily set aside by God for their unbelief in Messiah Jesus. Of course, individual Jews, to this day, are able to receive salvation by believing in Jesus. We also discussed how believers throughout the ages will be caught up, raptured, to meet Jesus in the air, and then the Tribulation begins on earth for all nonbelievers, including Israel. Let’s look at when the “Man of Lawlessness” arrives on the scene during the chaotic time of lawlessness, war, and worldwide destruction!

What takes place just before the “Man of Lawlessness” is revealed?

  • The restrainer, or the Holy Spirit’s restraining power that “guides” Church believers, must be taken out of the way for the “Man of Lawlessness / Antichrist” to come. “And now you know what is holding him (Antichrist) back so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the One (Holy Spirit) who now holds it back will continue to do so till He is taken out of the way.” 2 Thess 2:6-7
  • The Holy Spirit’s power is restraining the Antichrist and his satanic kingdom from complete domination over the people on earth.
  • The Rapture of the Church, believers in Jesus, removes the awesome restraining power of the Holy Spirit who had “guided” people in the Church.
  • The first 3½ years of the Tribulation begins with God’s wrath! People left on earth look for a world leader to lead them out of war and soon become infatuated with “Antichrist’s” guile. However, they don’t know this “Man of Lawlessness” is fully under Satan’s control.

As wars plague the world, just as Jesus prophesied, we see nation against nation, where people become frightened, discouraged, and eventually look for someone to lead them away from war, turmoil, and destruction. Are people ready for a leader to bring about peace to the world? Is Israel tiring from war, trying to keep its small country safe from the constant threats and attacks? Are they ready for a world leader to negotiate a peace treaty for them?

Friends, let me digress for a moment. During these difficult days are things weighing heavily on your mind? Do you need peace and joy in your life? Jesus is waiting and He is the only One who can provide renewed life! “I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly.” Jn 10:10

Antichrist–The first half of the 7-year Tribulation

We discussed how the Holy Spirit, who guides the Church and restrains Antichrist, must be taken out of the way before Antichrist can come. The Holy Spirit’s restraining power will be set aside when the Church, believers in Christ, are raptured. However, the Holy Spirit will always be in the world. Today, we’ll look at the Antichrist and the first 3½ years of the 7-year Tribulation.

A closer look at this unscrupulous “Man of Lawlessness” arrival on the scene:

  • When the Holy Spirit’s restraining power is set aside, the evil satanic kingdom (Satan and fallen angels/demons) will have complete dominion over people left on earth. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he (Holy Spirit) who now restrains it (lawlessness) will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one (Antichrist) will be revealed.” 2 Thess 2:7-8
  • After the Rapture of the Church, believers in Christ, the world is plagued by war, just as Jesus prophesied. (Matt 24:6-7) We see nation against nation, where people become frightened, discouraged, and eventually look for someone to lead them away from war, turmoil, and destruction.
  • God’s wrath begins with the 7-year tribulation on earth for those who refuse to repent of sin! “The coming of the lawless one (Antichrist) is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” 2 Thess 2:9-10 Satan gives Antichrist power to deceive people with false miracles, signs, and wonders.
  • To people who refuse to love God’s truth and be saved, God sends a strong delusion! “Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false.” 2 Thess 2:11

Are people ready for a leader to bring about peace to the world? Is Israel tiring from war, trying to keep its small country safe from the constant threats and attacks? Are they ready for a world leader to negotiate a peace treaty for them? You bet they are!

People left on the earth look for a world leader to lead them from war and soon become infatuated with the “Antichrist’s” charisma and guile. However, they don’t know this “Man of Lawlessness” is fully under Satan’s control!

Friends, remember this, even though we are living in violent, distressing times during these last days, God is in control! Jesus Christ is still on the throne and the Holy Spirit continues to lead believers into all truth. Don’t lose heart because the Lord loves you! Now is the time to serve Him, even more, by leading family, friends, and others into the saving knowledge and Grace of Jesus Christ. Don’t wait! Time is critical!

The Man of Lawlessness–Antichrist

Previously, we talked about this unscrupulous Man of Lawlessness’ (Antichrist) arrival on the scene and his being controlled by Satan. The Church, believers in Christ, have now been raptured to heaven and the Holy Spirit’s power has been set aside so there’ll be no spiritual restraint against demonic forces on earth. The people on earth will “perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved.” Therefore, “God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lies,” which are “Satan’s power of false signs and wonders.” 2nd Thess 2:9-11

Looking forward into the prophetic future, there will be worldwide war, violence, and death, where God pours out His wrath on sinful humanity, those refusing to love God’s truth and so be saved. People look, instead, to the Antichrist, described by Jesus (Matt 24:15) as the “Abomination of Desolation” spoken of by the prophet Daniel (Dan 7:24-27). Antichrist will come onto the world stage as the leader who will bring worldwide peace, and then he’ll put everything under his control.

  • During the first half of the seven-year tribulation, Antichrist brokers a peace covenant with Israel; “He (Antichrist) will confirm a covenant with many (Israel & other nations) for one-seven (7 years). Dan 9:27

Israel finally gets peace with their neighbors they have wanted for centuries, but it is short-lived, because they were deceived by…guess who?

  • In the middle of the seven years, Antichrist breaks the peace covenant with Israel and “…opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple (Jerusalem) of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2nd Thess 2:4. Imagine Israel’s distress, anger and fear as Antichrist stops their worshiping in the temple with his betrayal!
Old Jerusalem

Let’s clarify a few things: presently, there’s no temple in Jerusalem. However, the Apostle Paul states that the Antichrist will sit in the temple in Jerusalem. Paul is telling the Thessalonian believers what will take place in the future. One day, date notwithstanding, a third temple will be built where Israel again worships God.

Why does the Antichrist, controlled by Satan, turn against Israel? Does Satan despise Israel? The answer is most assuredly yes! He opposes God and everything God loves, which includes Israel. Satan wants to sabotage God’s plans. Remember, Satan is prideful and desires to be above God! “You (Satan) said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God. I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north.” Isaiah 14:13

Friends, presently, a spiritual battle rages in the heavenly (Eph 6:12-17), and we are right smack dab in the middle. Don’t fear, “God has you in the palm of His hand!” Isaiah 49:16

The First Four End Times Events

Previously, we discussed the “Man of Lawlessness” (Antichrist) coming onto the world scene as a leader that brings peace to a war-torn world, referred to as the Tribulation. Today, we’ll bring our series up to date with a chart diagramming End Times events. This timeline is inspired by Dr. Robert Jeffress.

end times chart first half
Christ acends to heaven

Christ’s Ascension: Forty days after Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, He ascends to Heaven from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Jesus tells His disciples before ascending, “I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.” Then, “while He blessed them (disciples & others) He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.” Luke 24:49,51

Church Age

Church Age: The Church was born in a day! The day of Pentecost came fifty days after Jesus’ Ascension to Heaven. On that day, the disciples received the Holy Spirit: “And suddenly there came from Heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house (upper room) where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them (disciples) and rested on each one of them.” Acts 2:2-3. One hundred twenty people received the Holy Spirit in the upper-room. Three thousand people received the Holy Spirit’s power that day and God’s people today are still receiving the Holy Spirit’s power.

The Church Age ends with the Rapture. Jesus comes from Heaven for His people, the Church; “For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ (believers) will rise first. Then we who are alive (believers), who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”

Tribulation

Tribulation: The 7-year Tribulation follows the Rapture. God pours out wrath on a sinful, unbelieving world. Jesus stated, “There will be great tribulation, such hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.” Matt 24:21. The Church is gone, and the Holy Spirit’s restraining power was set aside. Antichrist brings worldwide peace to a war-torn world and brokers a peace covenant with Israel and other nations. He breaks the covenant in the middle of the Tribulation, ending Israel’s worship in their rebuilt temple! Jacob’s / Israel’s trouble begins!

Friends, if you haven’t committed your life to Jesus, I implore you to do so before the terrible day of God’s wrath. Jesus loves you and doesn’t want anyone to perish.

The First Four Seal Judgements

In the last section, we looked at the first four End-Times events: Christ’s Ascension, Church Age, Rapture and Tribulation. Today, we’ll briefly turn our attention to the Earth’s Title Deed—Seal Judgments.

Who owns the Title Deed/control over the earth? Scripture states, “…the whole world is under the control of the evil one (Satan)” (1st John 5:19). Satan presently possesses the title deed, control over the earth! However, God maintains sovereignty over the whole world, including Satan!

Let’s now look at the apostle John who was exiled on the Isle of Patmos by the Romans for preaching the Word of God. John, “on the Lords Day was in the Spirit and heard a loud voice like a trumpet” (Rev 1:11). John turned to see the voice of “someone like the son of man (Jesus)” (Rev 1:13). The Lord, in Brilliant Glory, instructed John to write on a scroll everything he heard and saw about the seven churches on earth, and send it to them.

After this, John looked and saw the door standing open to heaven and heard the same voice, “come up here, and I will show you what must soon take place after this (future prophecy)” (Rev 4:1). John was then shown a scroll with seven seals, but when there was no one found worthy to open them, John wept bitterly! One of the elders told him, “Do not weep! See the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David (Jesus Christ), is able to open the scroll and its seven seals” (Rev 5:5).

The Title Deed found in Revelation 5-7 contained God’s Seal Judgments that are poured out on the earth during the Tribulation. These seals can only be opened by the Lamb, Jesus Himself, whose shed blood continues to redeem (save) sinners. Therefore, He’s worthy to open the seals and pour out God’s wrath on those rejecting Jesus’s victory over mankind’s sin.

John “watched as the Lamb broke the first of the seven seals” (Rev 6:1). One of the four living creatures surrounding the throne said with a voice like thunder, “COME SEE!” John looked and saw: Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

  • First Seal—White Horse, symbolizing “CONQUEST!” The rider (Antichrist) carries an empty bow, representing false peace.
  • Second Seal—Red Horse, symbolizing “WAR!” Rider is carrying a sword, representing worldwide war.
  • Third Seal—Black Horse, symbolizing “FAMINE!” The rider is holding a pair of scales; people work all day for little food.
  • Fourth Seal—Pale Horse, symbolizing “DEATH!” Rider named Death and Hades/Hell. Fourth of earth’s population killed by sword, famine and plague.

My dear friends, as you see these devastating prophetic events of the future, I pray that many of you will turn from sin and ask Jesus for salvation. He wants none to perish, but “the time is near!” (Rev 22:10).

The Remaining Three Seal Judgements

Friends, last section, we discussed Earth’s Title Deed and God’s first four Seal Judgments. Satan presently owns Earth’s Title Deed and has great but restricted authority over the Earth. We saw the apostle John called up to heaven, and witness Jesus opening each Seal that will release God’s deadly Judgments on earth. Jesus, therefore, will begin to redeem (claim) rightful ownership of the earth. What is coming next cannot be overstated! John witnessed all future Judgments!

Seal Judgments Five through Seven:

  • Fifth Seal—Reveals God’s Servants who were killed during the Tribulation for their faithfulness to Christ. They’re now in heaven, crying out to God for justice to avenge their blood from the inhabitants (unbelievers) of earth. They’re given white robes (symbolizing purity) and told to rest under heaven’s altar a little while longer until the full number of fellow servants that shall be killed, as they had been, enter heaven (Rev 6:9-11).

  • Sixth Seal—A Great Earthquake will cause massive devastation, and there’ll be astronomical phenomena in the heavens, where the sun turns black, the moon turns red, and the stars fall. “Every mountain and island (will be) removed from its place.” The people on earth hide in caves, wanting the rocks from the mountains to fall on them to hide them from the “wrath of the Lamb,” for the great “Day of God’s Wrath” has come, and who can withstand it?” (Rev 6:12-17).

Interlude: “I (John) heard how many were marked with the seal of God—144,000 were sealed from all the tribes of Israel” (Rev 7:4-8). Friends, imagine this: God will preserve 144,000 Jews from the twelve tribes of Israel so they can preach Jesus Christ to the people during the Tribulation. Amazing!!!

  • Sixth Seal, continued—John, then, witnessed (repentant) multitudes that are killed during the “Great Tribulation,” and they too were given white robes in heaven. “Never again will they hunger or thirst…God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Rev 7:9-17).

Seventh Seal—Silence throughout heaven for one-half hour, likely because the next Judgments are so severe! John saw seven angels given seven trumpets standing before God. Another angel with a Golden Incense Burner was given incense mixed with the prayers of God’s people that he poured onto the altar, and the fragrance ascended up before God. The angel then filled the burner with fire from the altar and hurled it to earth, causing thunder, lightning, and another earthquake (Rev 8:1-5).

Friends, these deadly Seal Judgments show what’s coming! It’s time to get your house in order before the great “Day of the Lord.” The Lord calls everyone to come under His authority and saving grace. You may ask, what must I do? “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom 10:9).

February 2025

The Seven Trumpet Judgements

Remember, in the last section, the opening of the Seventh Seal Judgment causes silence in heaven for one half-hour likely because the coming Seven Trumpet Judgments will be so devastating to the people left on earth. Warning, these judgments are not for the faint of heart!

                                   Seven Angels blow their trumpets:

  • First Angel’s trumpet blast—causes hail and fire mixed with blood hurled to earth; one third of the trees and grass burn up.
  • Second Angel’s trumpet blast—sets a huge mountain ablaze that’s throne into the sea; one third of the sea creatures die and one third of ships destroyed.
  • Third Angel’s trumpet blast—a great star blazing like a torch, called Wormwood (a poisonous plant), fell and one-third of rivers and springs turned bitter; people died drinking the water.
  • Fourth Angel’s trumpet blast—causes one-third of the sun, moon and stars to turn dark (Trumpets 1 thru 4/Rev 8:6-12).

As the apostle John watched, he heard a flying eagle shout: Woe! Woe! Woe! to the inhabitants of earth because the trumpet blasts of the next three Angels was about to sound (Rev 8:13). Next, the three Woes (mental and physical suffering)!

  • Fifth Angel’s trumpet blast: 1st Woe—star (fallen angel/demon) fell to earth and was given the key to open the Abyss (bottomless pit/place of torment for demonic entities); when opened, smoke from its gigantic furnace rose up, darkening the sky. Locusts came out of the smoke and were given power like scorpions. They were told not to harm the grass or trees, but only the people who don’t have God’s seal on their forehead, those who refused to believe (Rev 9:1-4).

The locusts resembled horses whose heads were crowned with gold, prepared for battle. They weren’t allowed to kill people, only torture them with stingers from their tails. During that time, people want to die, but death eludes them. The locust’s king came from the Abyss, an angel (demon) named Abaddon (meaning destroyer) who leads them.  The 1st Woe is past, two Woes yet to come! (Rev 9:5-11)
  • Sixth Angel’s trumpet blast—2nd Woe, voice commands, “Release the four angels (demons) who are bound at the great river Euphrates” (loc-Turkey, Iraq, Syria). These demons and their armies, numbering two hundred million men, are released to kill a third of all mankind in a world war! (Rev 9:16)

Friends, as we draw nearer to Christ’s triumphant return as King of kings and Lord of lords, it’s important for each of us to know that Jesus has gone to extraordinary lengths to save people, even those who will suffer these catastrophic Judgments. Jesus will do whatever it takes to bring salvation to the lost. Can we say the same?

March 2025

Friends, before proceeding directly to the Bowl Judgments, I want you to know there are three satanic figures in scripture who play crucial roles in Last Days events. These figures showcase their satanic version of the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

“Satanic” Trinity:

  • The Dragon—Satan, a once powerful anointed guardian cherub, praised and worshiped God in Heaven “until unrighteousness was found in him,” Ezek 28:12-15. That’s when God casts Satan and his angels, demons, down to earth, where “Satan would blind the minds of unbelievers so they could not see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ” 2nd Cor 4:4.
  • First beast—Antichrist, was given great authority and power from the dragon over people on earth. This beast seemingly sustained a fatal head wound that had healed; people marveled and worshiped him saying, “Who is like the beast and who can fight against him?” Rev 13:3-4.
  • Second beast—The False prophet; his mission is to direct people to worship the first beast, Rev 13:11-15. Second beast:
    • Comes with persuasive words, performing false miracles by Satan’s power.
    • Constructs an idol to honor the Antichrist.
    • Gives power to the idol to speak.
    • Forces people to worship the idol or die.
The Antichrist

God’s judgments of wrath on an unbelieving world are coming, if not here already. Let’s now look at the 3rd Woe, God’s final catastrophic Bowl Judgments!

THE SEVEN BOWLS OF GOD’S WRATH

“The apostle John saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven Angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed,” Rev 15:1. “Then John heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven Angels, Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth” Rev 16:1.

The First Bowl

“The first Angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast (Antichrist) and worshiped his image” Rev16:2.

This first Bowl Judgment sounds excruciatingly painful, doesn’t it? Let’s now discuss this mark of the beast, Antichrist. During the Great Tribulation, the last 3½ years of the 7-year tribulation, Antichrist causes all, both great and small, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell, except he who has the mark of Antichrist or the number of his name, 666 (symbolizing evil), Rev13:16-18.

Antichrist boxes humanity in with his mark, forcing people to either come under his total authority or face devastating consequences en route to their demise!

Believers, rest assured! “Since you’ve kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth” Rev 3:10

April 2025

Friends, in the previous section we discussed the scripture from Rev 10:3, “Since you (faithful believers) have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial—seven-year Tribulation—that’s going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.” I believe the Rapture of the Church (believers) fulfills this Bible prophecy. We also saw the deadly effects of what I referred to as the ‘Satanic Trinity’ and the mark of the beast, 666 (symbolizing evil), that people must receive or they couldn’t buy or sell, lest face certain death. Let’s continue with the remaining Bowl Judgments that God’s Angels pour out on an unsuspecting, unrepentant people on earth.

The Second through Fifth Bowls

Rev 16:3
  • The second Angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died” Rev 16:3.
Rev 16:4
  • “The third Angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood” Rev 16:4.

Imagine that the fishing industry throughout the world has ceased. No more seafood!

Rev 16:6

“Then the apostle John heard the Angel in charge of the waters (rivers and oceans) say, “You Lord God are just in these judgments, O Holy One, You who are and who were; for they (unbelievers) have shed the blood of Your holy people (believers) and Your (Jewish) prophets, and You have given them (unbelievers) blood to drink as they deserve. And John heard the altar respond, “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are Your judgments,” Rev 16:5-7.

  • “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him,” Rev: 16:8-9.
  • The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast (Antichrist), and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done” Rev:16:10-11.
Rev 16:10

Friends, you may ask, how can a Holy God be so cruel in His response to the people He created? God’s given them every opportunity to repent, turn from evil, and come under His authority, but they chose evil rather than good. Listed above in scripture verse, Rev 10:3, God uses the tribulation as a test for sinners to repent. Remember, Jesus shed His blood for all their sins, even their final sins of rejection. However, many will choose their destiny of Hell rather than Heaven. Their response is inconceivable!

Coming in May: Two Witnesses & Bowl Judgment 6

May 2025

The Two Witnesses

Friends, before proceeding with the Final Bowl Judgments, I must introduce the mysterious “Two Witnesses,” to whom God gives miraculous power for forty-two months during the Tribulation. These two guys appear on the scene performing miracles that no one can stop. “They stand before the Lord of the earth,” and “if anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths, which devours their enemies!” Rev 11:4-5. (Note: These witnesses are part of the 2nd Woe that I didn’t include in February’s issue.)

I know prophetic scriptures are difficult to comprehend, but they come directly from God, and we must trust Him.

The “Two Witnesses” miracles in Rev 11:6-7:

  • Power to stop rain when prophesying.
  • Can turn water to blood.
  • Cause plagues whenever they want.

Then, after the forty-two months, Antichrist (1st beast) kills the “Two Witnesses” and their bodies lie in the public square of Jerusalem for 3½ days. Wicked people around the world celebrate, but God breathes life back into the “Two Witnesses” and they stand up. Terror strikes those who saw them! In a loud voice, God says, “Come Up Here!” Everyone watched the “Two Witnesses” go to heaven through the clouds, “then a severe earthquake struck where seven thousand died,” Rev 11:7-13.

One would think that after people witnessed God’s devastating power, they would turn from sin and ask for forgiveness, right? Well, some terrified survivors will glorify the God of Heaven, but most will not.

THE SEVEN BOWLS OF GOD’S WRATH

  • “The sixth Angel pours out his bowl (God’s Judgment) on the great Euphrates River and its water is dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East,’’ Rev 16:12. (Note: this was described in February’s issue—Sixth trumpet blast). This is preparation for the climactic battle called Armageddon (means “Hill of Megiddo,” northern Israel). Notice how God clears the way for the kings’ armies.

I’ve visited this area called the Jezreel Valley in Israel. It’s a huge, beautiful farming valley stretching 25 miles by 10 miles, where trade routes and military campaigns have existed for centuries. It’s certainly large enough to accommodate the world’s armies to gather and fight the final “World War” against God.

Who could have provoked world leaders to fight this battle? You may have guessed it already. “And I (apostle John) saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs, leap (speak) from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. These demonic spirits work (false) miracles and dupe all the rulers of the world, gathering them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God, the Almighty,” (called-Armageddon) Rev 16:13-14.

Friends, we’re approaching the conclusion of God’s wrath. Just remember, those who receive the “Mark of the Beast” cannot be saved. There’s still time to witness to family, friends, and neighbors. The clock is ticking! Shalom, Chris

June 2025

Bowl Judgment 7 & Armageddon

Friends, thank you for persevering through this long series about the end times in the Bible. I know it’s been challenging, but just remember as we study from the book of Revelation there comes a promise from God: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near,” Rev 1:3. No other book of the Bible makes this proclamation.

Previous issues covered the mysterious “Two Witnesses” who cause rain to stop, turn water to blood, and cause earthly plagues. We also disclosed the Satanic Trinity, the dragon (Satan), 1st beast (Antichrist), and 2nd beast (false prophet) who deceive world leaders through false miracles so that their armies would go to war against God in the place called Armageddon (Hill of Megiddo).

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

Now, comes the final seventh Bowl Judgment! “The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the atmosphere, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It Is Done!” Rev 16:19-21:

  • Flashes of lightning and a gigantic earthquake.
  • Great city, Jerusalem, splits into three parts.
  • Cities around the world collapse.
  • Islands are flooded and mountains disappear.
  • Giant hailstones weighing 100 pounds strike people.

People under judgment “cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible,” Rev 16:21.

Armageddon Begins

The battle of Armageddon now begins! Armies of the nations gather together at the battle’s most likely location, Hill of Megiddo in the Jezreel valley of Northern Israel, to make war against the God of Heaven. What these armies don’t realize is God has an army, as well!

“Then I (apostle John) saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The One sitting on it is called Faithful and True (Jesus Christ), and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns, and He has a name written that no one knows but Himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood (Jesus’s victims), and the name by which He is called is The Word of God. And, the armies of heaven (Jesus’ followers), arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword (God’s Word/Power) with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh, He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.” Rev 19:11-16.

Friends, this climactic battle is Jesus’s second coming and believers from Heaven will be with Him! Don’t wait; the time to come under His authority is today! Shalom, Chris

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

July 2025

In the last section, we saw the final seventh Bowl Judgment, where “the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the atmosphere and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne saying, “It Is Done!” Rev 16:19.

Jesus vs. the Antichrist

We witnessed the climactic battle of Armageddon, where Antichrist’s world armies clashed with King Jesus, who rode a white horse with the name “King of kings and Lord of lords” written on His robe, followed by His army of believers from Heaven riding white horses. Now, the spoils of war:

Jesus’ second coming is as a conquering hero, killing all the world’s armies and throwing Antichrist and the False Prophet alive into the lake of fire—Hell. Does anything happen to Satan, himself? Yes, you bet!

“Then I (Apostle John) saw the beast (Antichrist) and the kings of the world and their armies gathered together to fight against the One (Jesus Christ) sitting on the horse and his army (believers from Heaven). And the 1st beast (Antichrist) was captured, and with him the false prophet (2nd beast) who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark (666) of the beast (Antichrist) and who worshiped his statue. Both the 1st beast (Antichrist) and his false prophet (2nd beast) were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Hell). Their entire army was killed by the sharp sword (God’s Word) that came from the mouth of the One (Jesus) riding the white horse. And the vultures all gorged themselves on the dead bodies,” Rev 19:19-21.

Satan Thrown in Bottomless Pit

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit (chasm—earth’s center) and a heavy chain in his hand.He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while,” Rev 20:1-3.

God is bringing justice into the world by eliminating all sin. There’s a New Heaven and New Earth coming where everything will become brand new! Know this, God will not allow sin to permeate earth or Heaven.

Friends, be ready for the Lord’s return at an unknown hour! Jesus’ parable of the 10 virgins, Matt 25:1-13, illustrates our need to be prepared for Christ’s eminent return. Don’t be like the 5 virgins who didn’t have oil (Holy Spirit Power) in their lamps. They were locked out of the wedding banquet, while the other five virgins who had oil in their lamps were invited into the banquet. Warning, be ready, the door is about to be closed and locked!

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

August 2025

In the last section, we witnessed the final world war called Armageddon, where Antichrist’s armies were defeated by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords at Jesus’ “Second Coming.” The Antichrist and False Prophet were thrown into the lake of fire—Hell. As for Satan, “he is bound by an angel with a chain and thrown into the bottomless pit, so that he couldn’t deceive the nations anymore until the Thousand Years were finished. Afterward, he must be released for a little while,” Rev 20:1-3.

Thousand Year Reign

During Christ’s Thousand-year reign (Millennium) prophecy states that His feet will touch down on the Mount of Olives, (Zec 14:4). “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him and all peoples on earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty,” Rev 1:7-8. King Jesus will reign over Israel and the entire world from Jerusalem.

Jesus’ Worldwide Appearance

  • Jesus glorious appearing as our “Blessed Hope,” Titus 2:13.
  • Jesus’ feet touch down on the Mount of Olives, Zec 14:4.
  • Mount of Olives splits in two, one half moves north and the other south, causing a great valley, Zec 14:4-5. This seismic event is monumental and unparalleled.

God’s Covenant promises to Israel and the World

  • Abrahamic Covenant was only partially fulfilled; Abraham was given the land of Israel, however, Israel never fully claimed all territories of God’s boundaries, Gen 15:18-19.
  • Palestinian Covenant will bless Israel with all of God’s boundaries forever. (Num 34:1-12)
  • Davidic Covenant assured King David, “Your house (Israel) and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever,” 2nd Sam 7:12-16. A descendant of King David will reign forever over Israel and the world. That descendant is Jesus; “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the descendant of David, the bright Morning Star,” Rev 22:16 (Rom 1:3-4).
  • The New Covenant: “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days (Israel’s rebellious past),” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people,” Jer 31:33. Jesus’ blood sacrifice fulfills all covenants and offers believers forgiveness of sins, renewed hearts, and restored relationships with God, (Heb 8:8-13, Jn 3:16).

Friends, during Jesus’ Thousand Year reign, justice and righteousness prevail (Isa 9:6-7). People will peacefully coexist as will the animal kingdom. Scripture reveals these last days events are fast becoming a reality. Read God’s Word for yourself if you find it hard to believe and see if this is true.

Shalom, Chris

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

September 2025

In the previous section, we covered Jesus’ “Thousand Year Reign,” His worldwide appearance, and God’s covenant promises to Israel and the world. Jesus’ blood sacrifice fulfills all covenants and offers believers forgiveness of sins, renewed hearts, and restored relationships with God. Friends, Jesus’ sacrifice has eternal significance!

Let’s look at the people in the Millennial Kingdom. King Jesus, a descendant of King David, will rule from David’s throne in Jerusalem over all the nations of the world.

People in the Millennium

  • Everyone entering the Millennium will be redeemed, rescued from sin, by Jesus’s blood sacrifice, Isa 35:8-10.
  • Raptured believers from heaven will have glorified immortal bodies, 1st Cor 15:51-53.
  • Raptured Old Testament saints will have glorified bodies, Dan 12:2.
  • Tribulation martyrs will be resurrected, raised to new life, after Christ’s return, Rev 20:4-6.
  • Tribulation survivors, who professed Jesus Christ as Lord, will enter the Millennium in earthly bodies, both Jew and gentile, Rev 7:9-16. The population will increase enormously as people in earthly bodies marry and have children. Life expectancy will greatly increase, Isa 65:20.

Millions of people will travel back and forth to Jerusalem, worshiping King Jesus as Lord; “Let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord,” Isa 2:2-4. Jesus will settle national disputes; therefore, peace reigns, and people will acquire God’s knowledge and wisdom! Life during the Millennium is good, but it’s about to take an abrupt turn!

Remember, Satan will be chained in the bottomless pit and cannot deceive or victimize anyone until the Thousand Years have ended. Next, Satan’s release! Why would God allow Satan to be released? Friends, we’re looking into the mysteries of God, and He’s in total control.

Judgment of Satan

“When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison (bottomless pit) and will deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog kingdoms that will attack Israel—and gather them for battle. In number, they (unbelievers born during the Millennium) are like the sand on the seashore. They march across the breadth of the earth and surround the camp of God’s people, the city (Jerusalem) He loves. But God’s fire comes down from heaven and devours them. And Satan, who deceived them, is thrown into the lake of burning sulfur (Hell), where the 1st beast, Antichrist, and the 2nd beast, false prophet, are thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever,” Rev 20:7-10.

Friends, why is Satan allowed to deceive people born in the Millennium? The Bible states we’re all born with a sin nature, Rom 3:23. People born in the Millennium are no different, and they will choose whom they will serve, God or Satan. I believe God allows Satan to bring out their true convictions. However, Satan, now defeated and in Hell, will never deceive people again!

Next Month: Great White Throne Judgment & New Heaven and New Earth

October 2025

In the last section, we covered people of the Millennium, and Satan’s final attack against Jerusalem, where God’s fire comes down from Heaven, destroying Satan’s army. Satan is thrown into the Lake of fire (Hell), where the Antichrist and the False Prophet were thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever!

Friends, let’s examine God’s Great White Throne Judgment, where Jesus will judge all unredeemed sinners throughout eternity.

Great White Throne Judgment

The sea releases those who have perished within its depths

“Then I, apostle John, saw a Great White (purity) Throne and Jesus who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from His presence, and there was no place for them (unbelievers). And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead (unredeemed people) that were in it, and Death and Hades (where unrepentant sinners were imprisoned) gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life is thrown into the lake of fire,” Rev 20:11-15

Final Judgements Recapped

  • Jesus will be the judge at the Great White Throne Judgment for all unredeemed sinners throughout the ages, Rev 20:11
  • Judge Jesus will open the recorded books of dead sinners, where their deeds are recorded and He will render final judgements, Rev 20:12-13
  • The Book of Life is where true believers are recorded, and anyone’s name not recorded in it will enter into the Lake of Fire for all eternity, Rev 20:15
  • Death and Hades are thrown into the Lake of Fire—Hell, Rev 20:14
  • “The earth and heavens fled from Jesus’ presence,” Rev 20:11. “The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare (revealed),” 2nd Peter 3:10
Death and Hades are thrown into the Lake of Fire—Hell, Rev 20:14

Friends, this is daunting stuff and scripture verifies its accuracy and Jesus’ soon coming! Be watchful and ready!

New Heaven and New Earth

“Then I, apostle John, saw “a New Heaven and a New Earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away (dissolved), and there was no longer any sea (eliminated). I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,” Rev 21:1-5

Friends, the entire universe will be re-created by God, who made everything from the beginning, out of nothing, Psalms 33:9.  Jesus spoke the world into existence by His eternal power. He will speak again, creating the New Heavens and New Earth.

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

November 2025

In the last section, we covered how God destroys Satan’s army with fire and that Satan, Antichrist, and the False Prophet are thrown into Hell, where they will be tormented day and night forever! We saw the Great White Throne Judgment, where Jesus judges all unredeemed sinners throughout the ages! Their judgment is the Lake of Fire, Hell. Death and Hell are also thrown into the Lake of Fire. Remember, the apostle John is given these revelations for the Churches.

The New Heaven and the New Earth

Then I, apostle John, saw “a New Heaven and a New Earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away,” Rev 21:1-4.

  • New Heaven and New Earth are revealed to the apostle John, Rev 21:1.
  • Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from heaven, adorned as a bride, Rev 21:2
  • God’s dwelling place is now among His people, Rev 21:3
  • No more death, pain, and every tear is gone, Rev 21:4
  • Everything is brand new, old things have passed away, Rev 21:4

“Jesus who was seated on the throne, said, “I am making everything new!” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” “Jesus said to John “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (God eternal). To the thirsty (believers) I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of eternal life.” Rev 21:5-6. This is what all believers can look forward too, truly amazing!

Addendum: Marriage supper of the Lamb

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory. For the wedding of the Lamb

(Jesus) has come, and his bride (the church) has made herself ready. Fine linen (righteous acts of God’s holy people), bright and clean, were given her to wear.” Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those (believers) who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb (Jesus)!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” Rev 19:1-4

Friends, this is inconceivable; imagine believers are betrothed to the Lamb of God. Does this mean they are now engaged to the Lamb? This seems to be what the angel of God is telling the apostle John!

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

Next month: Holy City Jerusalem

December 2025

In the last section, we covered the New Heavens and the New Earth, and the Holy City Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven. Jesus, seated on the throne, stated, “I’m making everything new!” “It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End,” (God eternal). We also discussed the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Apostle John Spiritually Transported

“Come, said the angel to John; I will show you the bride, the wife (figurative) of the Lamb. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb,” Rev 21:9-14.

Jerusalem’s Stunning Brilliance

  • Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven in brilliant glory like a precious jewel, jasper, clear as crystal…Rev 21:11.
  • High wall with twelve gates and twelve angels, one at each gate…Rev 21:12.
  • The names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates. Rev 21:12.
  • The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Rev 21:14.

The number 12 has significant biblical meaning. It represents governmental perfection, authority and completeness in God’s perfect order and plan.

Angel Measures Holy City Jerusalem

“The angel who talked to John held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. When he measured it, he found it was a square, as wide as it was long. In fact, its length and width and height were each 1,400 miles. The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass. The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass,” Rev 21:15-16, 18-21.

Friends, is this your future home? More details in next month’s issue of this heavenly city of perfection that God is preparing for His People!

Jesus Is Coming for His People—Are You One?

Next Month: Believers’ Eternal Home.

January 2026

“John heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among His People! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God himself will be with them” (Rev 21:3).

Friends, imagine this will be our new home, where we’ll live with Jesus, our creator and redeemer, forever. Incredible! What will it be like and what will we be doing, you ask?

Believers Eternal Home / Holy City

  • “Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven in brilliant glory like a precious jewel, jasper, clear as crystal…” (Rev 21:11)
  • “I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb” (Rev 21:22).
  • “God’s home is now among His people and they will be His people” (Rev 21:3).
  • “Man will be with the Lord forever” (Rev 21:3).
  • Sin, death, pain and sorrow are gone forever (Rev 21:4).
  • “Former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind” (Isaiah 65:17).
  • Our bodies and minds will be glorified into Jesus’ image and likeness (Rom 8:29-30).
  • We’ll be faithful loving servants of God (Rev 22:3).
  • God will continually show us His eternal ways (Eph 2:6-7).
  • We’ll be worshiping and praising God with affection and devotion (Rev 5:13).

Does all this sound too good to be true? This is the way God had planned it from the beginning until sin entered the world, and then there was a change of plans. Did God know this would happen? Of course He did, and it was all part of His grand plan.

The New Earth

What will the new earth be like, and will animals exist, you may ask? The answer is we truly don’t know; however, Isaiah 11:6-9 makes a strong argument for animals’ existence during Christ’s Thousand-Year reign:

  • Wolves will lie with the lambs.
  • Leopards will lie down with goats and the calves. Lions and the yearlings will lie together; little children will lead them.
  • Cows will feed with the bears; their young will lie down together.
  • Lions will eat straw like the oxen.
  • Infants will play near the cobra’s den, and young children will put their hands into the viper’s nest.
  • They will not harm or destroy on God’s Holy Mountain (Jerusalem), for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord like the waters cover the sea.

After Christs’ Thousand-Year reign, the earth will be burned up and re-created (2nd Peter 3:10, Rev 21:1).

Friends, we’re coming to the conclusion of this series. My prayer is that you’ll continue studying scripture for it contains the Words of Life!

Next issue: Summation and conclusion.

February 2026

The above illustrations chronicle our “Last-Days” series and are referenced below:

Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion / Death on the Cross: The Romans crucified Jesus; however, it was the Jewish leadership who conspired to have Him crucified. Ultimately, though, it was God’s plan for Jesus to suffer and die for the sins of mankind.

Jesus rises from Death: On the third day, Jesus supernaturally rises from the dead and spends forty days on earth appearing to His disciples and others, then ascends to Heaven.

Church Age: The birth of the Church came fifty days after Jesus’ ascension to Heaven. Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit who will indwell believers with God’s power for service! The Church age was born and believers to this day still meet and worship Jesus together.

Rapture: The word rapture is a Latin term meaning “caught up.” Jesus will call forth, with a loud command, the voice of an Archangel, for His Church to meet Him in the air. They will receive new glorified bodies and then will be whisked off to Heaven.

The Seven Year Tribulation: God pours out wrath (wars, famines, and global catastrophes on earth) on a sinful, unbelieving world. Antichrist brings worldwide peace to a war-torn world and brokers a peace covenant with Israel and other nations. He breaks the covenant in the middle of the Tribulation, ending Israel’s worship in their rebuilt temple! Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble begins!

Jesus’ “Second Coming” to earth, riding a white horse into battle:

*A heavenly army of “Believers” follows Jesus on white horses into battle.

*The battle of Armageddon: Jesus kills Antichrist and his world armies with a sharp double-edged sword coming from His mouth—the “Word of God.”

Jesus Christ’s “Thousand Year Reign” (Millennium) brings peace to the earth! Satan will be imprisoned in the Abyss (bottomless pit) by an angel; therefore, he cannot deceive the nations during Jesus’ reign from Israel.

Satan’s Final Rebellion: Released from the bottomless pit, Satan marshals armies for battle against God’s people and Israel. God sends down fire, defeating the rebellion, and Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire—Forever!

The Judgment Seat of Christ is where believers in heaven will give an account to Jesus for their works done on earth, good or bad, and they will all receive rewards for their good works.

God’s “Great White Throne Judgment” is for those having rejected the Holy Spirit’s work of pointing to Jesus as Savior and Lord. If their names are not found written in the “Book of Life,” they will be forever imprisoned in Hell.

Believers will live all eternity with Jesus in Heaven. “Look, I, Jesus, am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Rev 22:12-13).

Friends, we’ve only touched the surface of what has happened and what will take place in these “Last-Days.” I hope you’ve learned from and enjoyed this series. Keep reading your Bible, studying scripture, and I will see you in our eternal home—Heaven.   Shalom, Chris
